40K studies

My first self-directed character modeling project, and the testbed for the beginnings of my 2D/3D painted style of texturing. Of the two, I think it came out better on the Bolter, which I made after the marine. I scrapped most of my early work on the marine once I got further into modeling and retopo, since my initial approach was creating more design complications than it solved. Starting over with a clearer plan, I rebuilt it from there, along with the bolter. It was a fun project, and as I moved on to my next model, I had a clear direction I wanted to take my style in. This was the biggest takeaway from the project for me.
